ZALRATHIA MOUNTAINS this vast mountain range expands from one end of zeneroth to the other. sharp, jagged, and terrifyingly dangerous, only those that have lived in zeneroth for a long time have the skills to survive here. the climate is brutal, what with the constant snows, howling winds, and freezing temperatures, it's a wonder anything inhabits this place at all. it is said that fylia, the spiteful winter goddess, resides somewhere inside a cave upon a mountainside. some claim to have seen her, some say it's mere myth...who knows? you'll just have to find out for yourself. THE MOUNTAIN PASS as impenetrable as the zalrathia mountains seem, there is ONE way to cross them. the mountain pass. first, you must brave the weather and the harsh climate to reach the pass, which has a giant archway of pine trees standing at the entrance, giving it a very foreboding look. once you enter the pass, you cannot turn back, or so they say. once you enter the pass, legend say, you cannot leave until you reach the end, because spectral beings are said to be guarding the entrance, moaning and howling a creepy song. LYKRA FOREST since coniferous trees are the only plant life besides he grass that doesn't get destroyed in zeneroth, coniferous trees are the only thing the lykra forest is made of. huge, ancient trees shoot up from the earth, and reach so high, that it seems like the branches are touching the clouds. the trunks of the trees are scratched and scarred from claws long since past, but are also extremely fat and robust, seemingly indestructible. be careful, though. the lykra forest can be confusing, especially in the winter... THE HOT SPRING this hot spring, located deep in the mountains on a small offshoot of rock, is some of the only unfrozen water around for miles, or at least until you reach arandae. it is a pleasantly warm safe haven for zenerothians stiff with the cold. some wolves even like to take a swim in the spring's unusually hot waters. it's baffling to most, how it is so cold in zeneroth, but the hot spring still remains as steamy and wonderful as ever. a rare gift from fylia, perhaps? ARANDAE MEADOW arandae is still the beautiful place it was before the era of graff, just not as peaceful. this meadow, aptly named the arandae meadow, reflects that. wildflowers and tall grasses are abundant here, healthy trees and twittering birds are the meadow's daily inhabitants. food is plentiful here, for there are always little woodland creatures scurrying around in the undergrowth, just waiting to be caught. arandae as a whole can be a kind of eden to loners seeking refuge, merely because the place is so beautiful. ARANDAE WOODS since arandae is mostly covered in plains, it is rare to find an actual forest. the arandae woods isn't exactly a giant expanse of trees, but it's something. deciduous trees of all kinds are bunched together in this small, cramped area. despite the lack of space, everything here, from the leaves, to the weeds, seems to have a magical, hopeful quality to it, even though dravandae itself has been thrown into times of utter turmoil. the foliage here is rather scrubby and short compared to most forests in dravandae, therefore making the woods a poor place to find food. THE ROWAN TREE rowan trees are sacred to the goddess of the hunt, roma. she put rowan trees on the earth as symbols of her divinity. this rowan tree, right in the middle of arandae, can be seen from miles around, because it is so tall and its branches sprawl out as far as the eye can see. the trunk as a huge gap in it, that provides shelter for many a animal, including graff, when he invaded arandae so long ago...despite the tree's bloody history, wolves come to the tree from miles around, thinking it has some sort of spiritual significance. DRASIL RIVER the drasil river is like a ribbon across arandae, mighty, yet beautiful and winding. the river is fed by hundreds of small tributaries from all over dravandae, therefore it provides more than enough water for the wolves, their prey, and other animals. in some places, the river is as gentle as newly fallen snow, but in other places, it rages and gurgles through the land. many wolves have drowned in this river, so watch your step, and stay away from the bears, frequent visitors of the drasil. THE ENORIAN PLAINS the enorian plains cover most of enor. for as far as the eye can see, there's flat land, tall grasses swaying in the wind, and the elk. ah, yes, the famous elk herd of enor. thousands of the magnificent beasts make their way across the plains each and every year, giving the wolves of enor a surplus of food. well, they DID. ever since graff came into power so long ago, he ordered that the royal family take part of whatever the enorians killed as tax... CEOR PLATEAU ceor, god of the wind and sky, supposedly created this plateau centuries ago, when he wanted a place on earth where he could almost touch the sky. this plateau isn't ridiculously tall, but it is magnificent, mighty, even. it is the only place in enor that isn't flat, except for the top. a forested path leads the way up to the top of the plateau, and once you get to the top, you can see for miles around. this is a popular site for enorians to come and have alone time, or perhaps to think. THE MASSACRAE FOREST a play on the word 'massacre', the massacrae forest is very aptly named, for its name got changed after graff's tyranny. this forest, the only stretch of trees in enor, was the birthplace of graff, and where the slayings of his family and other enorians took place. now, since the massacre, the forest is mostly deserted, save for a few birds and squirrels. the trees here are sad and dying, the streams are dried up. there's an air of sadness here, an air that most would prefer to avoid. THE LAKE much more of a pond, than a lake, this body of water is. it's a area, surrounded by pine trees, teeming with all kinds of wildlife. the drasil river pours into the lake, providing fresh water for all of enor. on those hot summer days, you will find enorians and other animals alike taking a swim, or just lounging about in the cool lake breeze. this is also a stop for the elk herd. THE CASTLE the headquarters and home for the royal family and their relatives or lovers. this castle is huge and sprawling, made up of crumbling stones, and a massive wooden door that has been drawn down for years. inside, remnants of humankind can be found in the old furniture, paintings and other treasures, including the royals' jewelry. jewels are given out for doing things for the royal family, or simply asking for them, if the royals are in a giving mood. the castle itself is a very ominous, oppressive symbol for those non-royal, and also a constant reminder of the evil graff, who's spirit is said to still haunt the place. THE MEADOW countless lives have been lost in this meadow that lies just behind the castle. blood has been spill, souls shattered, hope lost. the meadow is not a very pleasant place to be. it is where many an innocent wolf has died protecting a kingdom they hated from incoming invaders, it is where graff said he would make dravandae his. the meadow is a terrible place, a historical one, a place where the mournful howls of the dead can still be heard.
